About Village Green, Inc. The Plant Pro is part of Village Green, Inc. He is a Certified Arborist, a Certified Turfgrass Professional, and a Registered NC Landscape Contractor. In addition to Plant Care, he knows soils. Soils are an often ignored but vital component of plant health and development. Village Green, Inc. is a landscape design, installation and maintenance company. We provide seasonal color, garden design, ornamental tree and shrub care, bed maintenance, pruning and lawn care. Started in 1994 by Ken Pomer, we have been active in landscape management for over 12 years. Design projects include shrub borders, perennial gardens, containers, mixed tree and shrub plantings and foundation beds. Recent projects include a cottage garden with woody shrubs and ornamental trees mixed with perennials. The entries are framed with a gated arbor and climbing vines. Another is a redesign of an English garden. Working within the formal structure of stacked stone walls and brick walkways, we balanced the symmetry and simplified the plantings. The new garden combines perennials in a succession of bloom with structure from low growing shrubs and ornamental trees. Other projects involve lawn renovation, natural pruning of shrubs and structural pruning of young trees.
